Welcome to The Asterby Group, as we are informally known. We are a group of historic Church of England communities nestled in the heart of the Lincolnshire Wolds. We are places of worship, fellowship, and warm welcome, rooted in centuries of tradition yet seeking to actively serve the needs of our modern villages. Whether you’re seeking spiritual nourishment, a quiet space for reflection, or simply looking to connect with a friendly, supportive group of people, we invite you to step through our ancient doors. Join us for Sunday services, explore our community events, or discover the rich history held within our walls—all are truly welcome.

Please explore the pages on this web site to find out a bit more about us. A good place to start is Who We Are.

Ministry Team Musings…

The Asterby Group Ministry Team shares some thoughts for July and August here

News

July 2026: The Asterby group is now part of a new deanery – ‘Horncastle with Bolingbroke‘. Like many large organisations, groupings change within the Diocese over time to reflect the needs of managing it. Very little will change day-to-day for the Asterby group, but we will now be supported by a Rural Dean (who remains our oversight minister) and an Assistant Rural Dean.

June 2026: A pastoral letter from Acting Bishop of Lincoln, Rt Revd Dr Nicholas Chamberlain, outlines the developments in our deaneries. See the Communications page for the letter.

April 2026: We are very grateful that Revd. Andrew Roberts has joined our Ministry Team. Between Revd. Mark, Rural Dean, and Revd. Andrew, we feel well supported to ensure that ministry continues and grows in our parish. See details of the Ministry Team on the Who We Are page.

We are also grateful to all our visiting clergy, many of whom are retired, for freely giving their time to minister to us.

Verse of the Day
