Welcome to The Asterby Group, as we are informally known. We are a group of historic Church of England communities nestled in the heart of the Lincolnshire Wolds. We are places of worship, fellowship, and warm welcome, rooted in centuries of tradition yet seeking to actively serve the needs of our modern villages. Whether you’re seeking spiritual nourishment, a quiet space for reflection, or simply looking to connect with a friendly, supportive group of people, we invite you to step through our ancient doors. Join us for Sunday services, explore our community events, or discover the rich history held within our walls—all are truly welcome.

Please explore the pages on this web site to find out a bit more about us. A good place to start is Who We Are.

The Asterby Group Ministry Team shares some thoughts for November and December here

News

December 2025: The Bible Course – part of ‘Between Sundays’. The Ministry Team have been exploring how we can encourage one another in our faith between Sundays. We are looking at weekday meetings, daytime and/or evenings, which run a ‘theme’ for a number of weeks.

We will be running The Bible Course from The Bible Society in the New Year. This excellent course is for new and experienced Bible readers alike. More details will be coming soon, but if you’d like to pencil in your diary from Wednesday 4th February, for 10 weeks (missing out 18th February, Ash Wednesday) and contact Neil Walker on 07771 861202 to reserve your place. More details of the course itself can be found here https://www.biblesociety.org.uk/explore-the-bible/the-bible-course.

August 2025: All Saints’ Church, Goulceby, have received a grant from the Lincolnshire Community Foundation to make the church more accessible and address some problems with interior plasterwork. See Goulceby‘s page for more details.

Verse of the Day

  • ““I am the good shepherd; I know my sheep and my sheep know me— just as the Father knows me and I know the Father—and I lay down my life for the sheep.”
